How we handle your data

Who is responsible

Qirai Technologies S.A., incorporated in Costa Rica, is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.

What we collect

We collect what you send us through the contact form:

• Name and email address, needed so we can reply.
• Organization and phone number, optional, if you choose to include them.
• The content of the message you write.

Technical data and cookies

This site sets one cookie, NEXT_LOCALE, strictly necessary to remember the language you chose. It is not an advertising or analytics cookie and is not used to profile you.

We use no web analytics, tracking pixels, or advertising.

Our infrastructure records ordinary technical request data, such as IP address and browser type, for security and service operation.

Why we use your data, and on what basis

We use the form data solely to read and answer your enquiry. The lawful basis is your consent, given explicitly when you submit the form, and you may withdraw it at any time.

Processing technical data for security purposes rests on our legitimate interest in keeping the site available and protected from abuse.

We do not use your data to send unsolicited marketing, and we do not sell it or share it with third parties for commercial purposes.

Who else processes this data

We rely on providers acting as processors on our behalf:

• Cloudflare, Inc., which provides site hosting, email routing and delivery, and the form’s anti-abuse protection (Turnstile).

International transfers

Our infrastructure runs on a global network, so your data may be processed on servers outside your country of residence, including outside Costa Rica and the European Economic Area. We select providers that offer appropriate contractual safeguards for these transfers.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries for a maximum of 12 months from the last contact, unless an ongoing commercial relationship justifies keeping them longer or the law requires us to.

The site does not store enquiries in its own database: the message is delivered by email and kept only in our mailbox.

Your rights

Under Costa Rica's Law 8968 on the Protection of Persons regarding the Processing of their Personal Data and, where applicable, the European Union's General Data Protection Regulation, you may:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Ask us to correct it where it is inaccurate or incomplete.
• Ask us to delete it.
• Object to processing, or ask us to restrict it.
• Withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.
• Request portability of the data you provided to us.

How to exercise your rights

Write to contacto@qirai.tech saying which right you wish to exercise. We will respond within the timeframes set by the applicable law.

If you believe we have not handled your request properly, you may lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the date shown at the top. Changes are published on this page.
